now the good news

Last week we discussed ideas on how to earn extra income.  Here is how one mom is pulling it off.

She loves to bake and knows she can make money selling her scones and cookies to coffee shops, real estate/management/leasing offices, insurance agencies, even high end car repair shops etc.

To save time and money she found a fully equipped commercial kitchen co-op where she can operate for $15 ten hrs per week. New clients consult there with her and  regulars pick up orders. (until she has her own shop)
The Co-op assisted with:
Food Manager/Handler certificates (@$110 for 2years, 140 for 5 years)
Food Enterprise Permit (@310 per year)
County Health Department Inspection (@125 per year)
DBA (@15)
Sales Tax Permit: free

If you would like to know more about this or other opportunities, please shoot us an email.

one size does NOT fit all

As a single (unsupported) mom I used to "over" everything! After I drove myself crazy I went to the other extreme. Somewhere in the middle I found my comfort zone: GUILT, and that justified everything. As you know, the most critical people are the least likely to offer a hand as part of a solution.

one of our moms offered the link below and we are passing it on to you:

with  prayers, hopes and wishes that you and the kiddos will be less traumatized during the formative years.

Hugs!

good tip

While out watching the fireworks on the 4th, our blankets were dusty and full of cockleburrs (?)
Someone recommended to keep a cheap shower curtain liner with a picnic blanket for these occasions. The liner keeps the blanket dry, and we no longer have to worry about wet bottoms after our picnic.

We love to hear good ideas - keep them coming.....

The power of words

Karmageddon

Nice girls usually don't admit how crushed and devastated they feel by triangles. No, we "soldier" it! We suck it up, pretend to be stronger than we really are, and that the damage and cruelty to our soul just blows away like a dried up rose petal. "Our side does not need to be heard, because God vindicates us"

Right!!!

Is there someone in your lives who doesn’t fully respect your relationship? You know, that friend (-zilla) who flirts or has an obvious attraction to one of you? Start spending less time with him/her and any other destructive or destabilizing people. It’s important to avoid troublemakers.
If you need help, we can refer.
