The gates of brass to me were generational DNA prolific in familiar environment. Shameful sins of the fathers that kept us in bondage  infecting and corroding our children and relationships. Open those ancient gates and let the Lord of Glory come into the dark, hidden, shameful, pain filled corners of our soul to be  Lord of ALL.

OK girls, the first time I was offered a free oil change I felt so humiliated to take charity until I realized that the community is looking for opportunities to help in a small way. I cried the entire oil change time while eating doughnuts. My life was falling apart at the seams, my kids were feeling the suffering, and people cared.

Yes, we hold hands, (literally and symbolic) unitl you become stable. It's OK. That's what we do.

On Saturday 3/16 Freshcraft (1530 Blake Street A) will be opening up at 9AM serving Irish Breakfast. of Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, Bailey’s Frosted Pastry, Irish Cheddar Waffles and more. Of course they’ll be serving up Irish style craft beer including Boulevard Irish Red & Denver Beer Co Maewyn’s Irish Stout. Breakfast will be served until noon.

As for me and my house? The brisket is marinating. The stew will be divine. The entertainment corny, and the movies traditional and cultural.

The Pope.....pinch me commentary

The white smoke went up while I was at work and I requested a break to watch what was unfolding.

Between, did hell just freeze over, and OMG, prayers are being answered I watched in awe as the Canadian Vatican deputy spokesman Thomas Rosica stated in a pre-pope emergence interview that problems in the church start when holy leaves (paraphrased). How many churches are out of touch with Jesus's mission statement Isaiah 61:1, 2? How many of us are painfully aware that when holy leaves, problems (in a relationship, marriage, job, etc.) start. Period! It is not exclusive to the church alone.

The choice of Francis for the new pope is also significant. Love St. Francis (spent my first 6 yrs with Franciscan nuns and my last 6 with Salesians. Animals, plants, children, and pure souls are drawn to the pure in heart. To me this was another reference to holy, pure and simple.

My brother went to a Jesuit Boarding School. I could not imagine a better education and the humility and elegance it was carried out with. Francis I looks very promising.
