Denver Day of Rock event helped benefit Food Bank of the Rockies last year!

With the generousity and support of the community, last year’s event collected 1,115 pounds of food throughout the duration of the event for the Food Bank of the Rockies.  Thank you Denver!

It’s hard for most of us to imagine, but every day in our community, more than 300,000 people worry about where they will find their next meal. Hunger is very real and Food Bank of the Rockies is fighting to ensure no one goes without needed nutrition. 1 in 7 Colorado citizens live with food insecurity and struggle to meet their basic food needs. Hunger is especially hard on children, who make up 42% of the Food Bank’s clients and require proper nutrition to grow and learn. In today’s economy, the need for food assistance is increasing substantially.

grand parent- parents

More and more we get calls from grand parents or grand mothers who are raising the grand kids.
We have found a resource that can be helpful to improve the situation and keep those precious little ones out of foster care.

We also have grandparents who parent grand children, lost a job, and are too young to receive retirement benefits.

Please check out the Goodwill Career Academy Certification Program. The courses for re-training are free and help with job placement is available.
