Mother's little dividend

Mothers Day used to be bittersweet for some of the single mothers who sacrificed for their children. We eat after them, we are coupon queens, cut our own hair, take the bus to save parking and gas, pray, because we don't have the money to see a doctor, sew our own clothes, hang them on the line instead of using the dryer, put cardboard in our shoes to cover holes, work two jobs and do all the handyman work around our home so we can send our kids to..... music lessons.

While other mothers were taken out to a brunch, or got flowers and candy, a corsage, massage, some recognition,
we got:

recognition valentines from our little blessings that never lost their value, thats why we keep and treasure them, (this one has been pinned to my heart for 20 years) as a reminder of how important and loved we were by our children when everybody else failed us. Mothers Day fru fru maybe fun for a day, as for me, I glow in the unconditional love of a mother that transcends eternity and tokens straight from the heart.

Happy Mothers Day
indeed.
