GPS aims to strenghten families through positive adult mentoring relationships. With over 800,000 parents currently incarcerated nationwide, GPS directly assists in stabilizing families with minor children by reducing crime during the transition from jail back into society.
This mentoring program is primarily funded by a grant from the US Dept of Justice under the 2nd chance act
