Unexpected emergencies can make it impossible to pay for basic needs, forcing a family to choose between paying routine bills like rent and utilities - or buying life’s basic necessities, like food .

Jefferson County:
More than 2,000 families will receive a box full of all the “fixin’s” needed to have a hearty holiday meal such as potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Additionally, clients will receive a voucher to get a turkey or ham at a local grocer.
