Time for a Air Show

The event begins Friday, July 13, at noon, with our Kid's Show featuring Otto the Helicopter, Bill Leff with his T-6 Texan, Matt Younkin with a Twin Beech, and Don Nelson with his Sukhoi 26 airplane. Simultaneous with Don's acrobatic show, the Rocketbilly Racing Team will heat up the runway with a jet fueled semi-truck.

At 4:00 pm, our main stage will heat up live music that will get everyone up dancin' and swingin'. Then at 6:30 pm, the air show will start up again for the afternoon performance that will keep spectators on the edge of their seats. The United States Air Force "Wings of the Blue" Parachute Team from Colorado Springs will open up the show. Tim Weber and the Geico sponsored Extra 300 plane is joining the show for its first time this year. The grand finale will be the Tora Tora Tora show—a spectacular air show that involves 8 Japanese zero aircraft, a B-17 bomber and a P-40 Warhawk. This amazing show is produced by the US Commemorative Air Force.

Saturday, the gates open at 10:00 am for a second day of spectacular events. Saturday's events will include the same daytime acts as Friday, plus a few more. At 2:00 pm The Hot Tomatoes, a nine-piece orchestra from Denver, will join Ladies for Liberty, an Andrews' Sisters tribute trio. Together they will honor a significant time in our country's history. This musical tribute will be followed by the grand finale Tora Tora Tora show, including the famous wall of fire.
