The Delores Project (Women Shelter) is named for Delores Big Boy, a Lakota woman who frequently lived on the streets of Denver. Her situation was complicated by health, developmental and substance abuse issues, as well as physical and sexual violence.
We, at Call Mom, encourage you and your group to consider the following volunteer opportunities:
•Meal provider (cooks meal either off-site or at The Delores Project for 50 – 65 people)
•Meal server (helps serve meals that are brought in by other groups).
•Landscaping/garden volunteer (helps with outdoor maintenance of The Delores Project)
•Errand Runner (picks up donations, delivers laundry, etc.)
