Be blessed in 2010

James 1:27
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

One of our volunteers remarked: “if you are not your brothers keeper, you are Cain”

At the end of the old year I try to reminisce and summarize what was extraordinary.

It was amazing how a diverse group of people were able to come together and transcend, race, religion, class, age, education, distance, ego and even language for the common good to be supportive of someone less fortunate. We lit each others candles instead of snuffing it out so that our light would shine brighter. When you HONOR someone, you bring out the best in them. When people feel SAFE, they open up and we have the FREEDOM to love them. Our UNITY made us strong and confident to move mountains.

I am humbled and privileged to work with you all.
We welcome like minded mature people to make a difference.

God is smiling on you.

Love,
Mom

"People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you may win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. People who really want help may attack you if you help them. Help them anyway. Give the world the best you have and you may get hurt. Give the world your best anyway."(Mother Teresa)
