IRS Free File Companies: IRS Free File is a program designed to provide free online tax preparation for taxpayers whose Adjusted Gross Income is $57,000 or less. Numerous companies participate, and you can choose the company that you would like to use. This offer is not just for military, so be sure to share it with your friends and family.
In addition to the national programs I’ve listed, many communities offer free tax filing assistance. If none of these will work, check your community newspapers for a local service.
If your return is not too complex, there is no need to pay. Don’t forget, e-filing begins on 30 January 2013.

4 cents a load
Here is a recipe for a superb laundry detergent that is safe for front and top load washers. The ingredients can be found in the WalMart Laundry Isle for under $20 and will deliver 504 loads of perfectly clean, fresh smelling clothes.
pour all ingredients into a med size tote or other airtight container
mix well and keep dry
use 2 tablespoons per load
- 1 bar of Zote (or 3 bars of Felts Naptha) shredded (use cheese grater)
- 1 box of Borax (4lbs 12oz)
- 1 box Arm and Hammer washing soda (3lbs 7oz)
- 3 pounds oxy-clean (optional for stain fighting and smell)
- 1 container softner crystals
pour all ingredients into a med size tote or other airtight container

do you need a "man"?
Since everything comes down to time and money we can get very emotional when our car or any appliance breaks down and we can't afford to have it repaired because the "resource" man is AWOL.
My furnace would not kick in when it got cold and I asked one of my neighbors if she knew of anybody to have a look before I would call a service man. She said, yeah, I have a man who can look at it. Your husband knows about furnaces? No, it's not my husband...."I have a man", he does the things my husband can't do. (hahaha)
Texas ladies I have a "man" when you have car problems.

Call old friends, and listen for echoes of distant voices.
Organize your calendar. Dream of the beach. Look each way
for the dim glow of light. Work on your reports. Review
each of your life's ten million choices. Endure moments
of self-loathing. Find the evidence of those before you.
Destroy it. Try to be very quiet, and listen for the sound
of gears and moving water. Listen for the sound of your heart.
Be thankful that you are here, swallowed with all hope,
where you can rest and wait. Be nostalgic. Think of all
the things you did and could have done. Remember
treading water in the center of the still night sea, your toes
pointing again and again down, down into the black depths.
Remember, Jonah moved on after three days...

Mini swap-meet this thursday Jan 9th at SE
Come and join us in welcoming a brand New Year!
A delicious Meal will be provided at 6:00 p.m. in Room 257 (formally Journeys K1) for you and your children.
After dinner, you can browse through items at Treasure Night - a type of mini garage sale. Bring items that you no longer want or use and then look for your own treasures to take with you. You don't need to bring treasures in order to take treasures.
The Greenhouse at 7:00 is your time to get a break from the kiddos and meet some other amazing women. Ruth Bowser, will be sharing a special message (FREE childcare is provided)

Goodbye 2013, hello 2014
2013 has been the best year ever for Call Mom visitors. We did nothing but listen, encourage, and point out available help. We poured the cup of HIS blessing on anyone who was thirsty. We embraced truths we did not previously know, cried over absurdities we were quite familiar with, and laughed at the simplicity of moving mountains. We just simply loved, trusted in Gods provision, and stood.
We also came to realize that giving encouragement over the phone or email can be draining without the the human face to face contact, the eye to eye contact, the empathetic there-there on your shoulder you don't get in a two dimensional (cartoonish) text.
You may resist opting for the charity to listen to someone God puts in your path locally, however, it always comes with a blessing. Be the church. Be the body. Be the ambassador of God to bring good news. Cast your bread on the water and know that you touched the heart of God by doing HIS will.
