Examples of the Characteristics Study
(These are presented as tendencies of which we
all have some—but not all will apply to everyone)#1. We tend to have feelings of low self-esteem that cause us to judge others and ourselves without mercy. We try to cover-up or compensate by being perfectionistic, caretaking, controlling, contemptuous and gossipy.
#3. We tend to be approval seekers and will do anything to make people like us. We are extremely loyal even in the face of evidence that loyalty is undeserved….terrified of rejection or abandonment. Our fears can stop us from ending hurtful relationships or prevent us from entering healthy, rewarding ones
#5. We tend to habitually choose to have relationships with emotionally unavailable people with addictive personalities. We tend to have difficulty with intimate relationships…feel insecure and lack trust in others. .
#11. We tend to be impulsive. We tend to take action before considering alternative behavior or possible consequences.
