whats creeping up? Why, it's Halloween

Kids love to pretend and dress up. Kids love candy. Halloween is the mother load!
Now there is one common problem. As single moms we do not want to let the kids out of our sight; we also have to hand out candy. We don't want to impose, and are leery to let them tag along with other kids we have not met (however, it is an option). What about inviting your ex for the shared experience to take them trick or treating while you hand out candy? Make the brief time about them. Halloween is only once a year for a couple hours.

Denver Day of Rock

Denver Day of Rock is a one-of-a-kind music event presented by Concerts For Kids to raise awareness of the children in our community. This free event will feature five stages of live music throughout downtown Denver on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24, 2014.

1616 Seventeenth Street, Suite 462 | Denver, CO 80202
303-605-2885 |
info@concertsforkids.org

Denver Day of Rock event helped benefit Food Bank of the Rockies last year!

With the generousity and support of the community, last year’s event collected 1,115 pounds of food throughout the duration of the event for the Food Bank of the Rockies.  Thank you Denver!

It’s hard for most of us to imagine, but every day in our community, more than 300,000 people worry about where they will find their next meal. Hunger is very real and Food Bank of the Rockies is fighting to ensure no one goes without needed nutrition. 1 in 7 Colorado citizens live with food insecurity and struggle to meet their basic food needs. Hunger is especially hard on children, who make up 42% of the Food Bank’s clients and require proper nutrition to grow and learn. In today’s economy, the need for food assistance is increasing substantially.
