The Tri-County Health Department is one of the many places that offers low-cost immunizations for children up to age 18. Monday through Friday, children are seen on a walk-in basis, however appointments are accepted as well. In addition, the Tri-County Health Department holds a Saturday “Shots for Tots and Teens” clinics at various locations.

Thanks to some of the volunteers who thought they had nothing more to offer than a smile and got cought up in the excitement of being a vital part of getting thousands of kids ready for school.

rethinking stress
Yup, we have to talk about it.
Every Friday after work I indulged in a little selfish pleasure of rewarding myself with 15 minutes of socializing, a Happy Hour beverage, and some 1/2 price appetizer before picking up the kids from the sitter as a transition to my week end job.
Some of my peers had apparently more stress, money, and family support to party on. Recognize the symptoms before it becomes problematic. Help is available.

Saturday, August 10th from 10:00AM – 2:00PM at the Smithville HS Cafeteria.
More than 40 organizations will be providing information and health screening, including crisis management, and quit smoking.
A full size medical evacuation helicopter and fire truck will be on site for inspection. Activities for the children will be provided.
The event is free.
