Here is a recipe for a superb laundry detergent that is safe for front and top load washers. The ingredients can be found in the WalMart Laundry Isle for under $20 and will deliver 504 loads of perfectly clean, fresh smelling clothes.

• 1 bar of Zote (or 3 bars of Felts Naptha) shredded (use cheese grater)
• 1 box of Borax (4lbs 12oz)
• 1 box Arm and Hammer washing soda (3lbs 7oz)
• 3 pounds oxy-clean (optional for stain fighting and smell)
• 1 container softner crystals

pour all ingredients into a med size tote or other airtight container
mix well and keep dry

use 2 tablespoons per load
