save up to 50% on your auto insurance

The fact is that auto insurance rates are constantly changing, and for certain policies, rates have actually dropped significantly in the past 12 months. You can be sure, however, that your insurance company (specially USAA) is not going to call you up and let you know their rates have dropped. But, with a minimal amount of time on a service such as http://fastfreeratequotes.com/, you may be able to quickly save hundreds of dollars.

School Supplies and swap meets

Hey moms,

you nominated several Schools in the past that were in need of "extra" supplies. Please send us your nominations again with the name of the School, address, supply list, and contact person.

Some inner city schools need polo shirts (all sizes, colors) for the uniform dress code. We accept donations or give you the drop off site.

Several requests have been made for childrens books (in english and spanish)

Don't hesitate to send us an email if you think of anything else we need to get organized.

We are moms, together we can make it happen. : ) Send your friends here. Nobody has to go it alone!

mom denied food stamps kills kids and herself

At Call Mom we would like to get more calls and pro-active/caring humans vs pencil pushers and sanctimonious judges to report cases before they get to this level of pain and desperation.

Some of us have been there where our prayer was: "Dear God, if you are merciful, please take us out of this cruel world. I can not bear to put my kids through more of this any longer".

Here is a reply from a mom:
There are many food pantries at local churches. Why doesn't the welfare department have a listing of these pantries and refer clients there until they are approved. Some people's IQ's are not that high and need this type of assistance. I regularly give items to my church's pantry hoping to help people such as these mentioned in your article. My sister got a job in the welfare department trying to help desperate people. Her case load was so heavy that the files on her desk were about a foot tall all around her. It's a sad world we live in. But don't stop caring....don't stop loving...

Keep this site handy and refer suspect moms to the resources available right here. email, call, we are here for YOU. We may not have all the answers, however, we can get you going.

Hugs,
Mom

web hosting "challenges" please bear with us

let's take a hike and jump in the lake

Hi Gang! The Single Parent’s Ministry has another amazing hike scheduled for Saturday, July 13th to St. Mary’s Glacier. This is a beautiful hike, if you’ve never done it before!

Here’s the link with all the info: http://www.colorado-hiking-vacations.com/st-marys-glacier.html

We’ve done this group hike a few times in the past and it is a popular, beautiful spot, and very kid friendly AND dog friendly.

Tom Lynch, our honorary Hike Leader and his kids will lead us there once again. Tom would like everyone to meet in the SHV church parking lot at 9 am for a car pool and we plan to leave at 9:00 am sharp.

Please don’t forget to bring the following:
· Backpack with plenty of water
· Food
· Sunscreen/Hat
· Light raincoat in case of unexpected weather
· Comfortable hiking shoes/sneakers
· Swimsuit- yes if it’s hot, you may want to take a dip!

We are planning on returning late that afternoon. Please also bring some cash....we will all pitch in for parking though, so it will be very inexpensive.

ACTION REQUIRED: Please RSVP with the number of family members that will attend. We hope to see you there! J Please keep Tom’s cell phone number handy in case you have questions (720) 229-2862.
