The Parker Christmas Carriage Parade is held annually in downtown Parker.
The 2012 parade is free to attend and will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 at noon in downtown Parker.

Come and experience that holiday feeling in the air and enjoy this all-equestrian parade made up of dozens of horse-drawn carriages, wagons, surreys and stagecoaches from across Colorado, all dressed up for the occasion.

Parade of lights as a cultural event

You don't have to leave Colorado to have a international, cultural experience. Our family made it a tradition to visit the Christkindl Markt, listening to  Christmas entertainment, eating authentic international food, and having sugar plum dreams.

The market includes vendors, from Germany and other European countries, as well as local artisans, offer quality, handcrafted gift items including such as traditional hand-carved wooden figurines, handmade candles, and ornaments. Traditional German food, bratwurst, potato pancakes, goulash and apple strudel will tempt your taste buds.

This year’s market will be larger and better with more vendors than in 2011 offering their wares. The market’s normal hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, with extended hours for the Parade of Lights on Friday and Saturday, November 30 and December 1, 2012.

While you are there.....

several of our friends, who had a hard time finding a job in the Denver area, ended up as English teachers abroad for a period. Are you up to taking a step in a new direction? Think of the possibilities.

Thanksgiving for our Troops

Thank you, Lord, for the courage and selfless service of our military troops. Thank you for their dedication in the face of difficulties and challenges. Thank you for their families. I pray that all of our servicemen and women will experience Your mercy each day, and that You will provide for their every need. Let them feel your presence with them, and your everlasting love. In Christ's name, amen.
