we support....

Thirteen kids die on the street everyday, from abuse, disease and suicide. By getting involved you can make a difference and give back to your community. Volunteering is not only rewarding to you, it can save a kid's life.

StandUp For Kids is an all volunteer organization and relies on the generousity of people like you. If you'd like to sponsor kids in your local area, find your local program and look for their wishlist. The types of items we regularly need include:

•New and gently used clothing
•Hygiene products
•Food products
•First Aid products
•Bus passes, phone cards, gift certificates
•Back office program support items
If you are a corporation and want to get involved donating at the national level, please email us at Staff@standupforkids.org.

Volunteers are heros

Last year we checked with Aurora Public Libraries about their computer classes only to learn they had been canceled, a victim of budget cuts. So we were pleased to learn this week the FREE classes have been restored, thanks to the generosity of tech-savvy volunteers. Classes range from Internet basics to workshops on using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Computer classes are given on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Aurora Central Library.

All classes are FREE, but the classroom only holds 12, so please register.

For more information or to reserve your spot call 303-739-6630. 14949 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora.

Do you have a personal mission statement?

Every human being, child, adult, needs just ONE caring person in their life to give them hope to make it through. YOU can be significant in your contribution and service
with as little as a smile. Celebrate the human spirit. Encourage, uplift, forgive, and inspire.

WHY?

Because you have a mission here on earth during your short little life. Find your purpose. Light a candle for someone. Think with your heart.

If you are the mom, the child, the widow, the neighbor, the teacher, the grandma, the pastor, you can be The One to make a difference.
Will you be The One?
